This program is reviewed by ACMI’s Toxilogical Advisory Board. These products are certified by ACMI to be labeled in accordance with the Labeling of Hazardous Art Materials Act (LHAMA) and the chronic hazard labeling standard ASTM D-4236. In addition, there is no physical hazard as defined within 29CFR Part 1910. 1200(c). The CL (Cautionary Labeling) Seal identifies products that are certified by a board certified toxicologist to be properly labeled for any acute or chronic health hazards. These products are also certified by ACMI to be labeled in accordance with ASTM D 4236 (the chronic hazard labeling standard), the FHSA and LHAMA. Products with this seal Cautionary Labeling are not hazardous if used correctly. It is important to read the product label in full before opening a product that has the CL Seal.
